The 1980 Trans Am and Firebird models has become one of the best known Trans Am models of it’s time. This is due to the release of Smokey and the Bandit Part 2 and also the second year the Trans Am would be selected for Pace Car duties for both NASCAR and also the Indianapolis 500. Below you will find various pictures and magazine advertisements used that year. As time goes on we will add to this “historical archive” and add pictures from any dealer promotional material along with additional Indy Track photographs we happen to find.
